After the birth of my son in
2010, running my own business and being a single parent, I felt
I had embarked on a huge challenge, My business FitBod had
already successfully been in operation since 2008 and I was
already a fully trained Health and Fitness Instructor, had a
qualification in Sport Psychology and was a Pre and Postnatal
Instructor, it’s then I decided to set up FitMummy.
I was very healthy during my
pregnancy and enjoyed being pregnant, I did however to my
surprise have an emergency caesarean section. I know what you
are thinking, I bounced back and was running marathons the next
week, well that couldn’t be further from the truth, I
experienced a long, slow recovery from my Section, so I know
exactly how it feels to recover, have a new baby, go back to
work and get back into fitness. I am here to facilitate you in
your fitness goals after having a baby, having a baby is a
blessing, but it also brings changes to your body, now you
get to train with or without your baby, feel good, get energised
and be a role model to your children.
As soon as I was physically
able I engaged more self-discipline and began to walk every day,
then gradually increased my training, from a good brisk pace in
the fresh air, which benefited my son too, to running with my
Mountain Buggy Terrain on the beach, up hills, on all terrain.
FitMummy is for all levels
of postnatal fitness, you work as hard as you want for the
results you want. Getting fit after having a baby is important
for your overall health, not just your physical health. |
